Rock (I mean proper rock) Festivals are big business at the moment with Sonisphere being added to the annual Download Festival this year. Now we have a new festival aimed at the classic rock crowd. Voltage will take place in London’s Victoria Park on 24th and 25th July. Acts confirmed so far are ZZ Top and Emerson Lake and Palmer who will headline the respective days.ELP are actually reuniting for the event which they say will be their last ever show. The event is being run by Classic Rock magazine (Who else?) and they promise us three stages, loads of other acts, great food and proper beer. A weekend ticket will cost £120 (£65 day) and are on sale at this discounted price until the end of the year when they will rise by a tenner. More news on the line up additions when it comes in.
