Now becoming one of the UK’s most dependable smaller festivals, GuilFest has announced the first wave of acts who will be performing in 2010. This festival has a reputation for eclectic line ups (Motorhead and Brian Wilson in 2009) and booking bands that no other festival manages to get. This year looks likely to carry on those traditions with electronic legends Orbital taking to the stage as Friday headliners, joining the Human League and Status Quo who top the bill on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The festival undercard will be announced soon, and you can of course read about it here. This year’s event takes place over the weekend of 16th to 18th July and tickets cost £100 for a full weekend with camping or £45 a day. Early bird tickets apply and you can read all about it and buy tickets on the GuilFest site
