Always providing a good mix of bands, the Isle of Wight Festival looks to have come up trumps yet again for 2010. Its early days yet but James, Doves, Ocean Colour Scene, The Saturdays and Shakespear’s Sister have all been announced. They back up headliners, The Strokes, Jay Z and Pink. Other acts on the bill include Orbital, Squeeze and Blondie. Tickets for this year’s bash are on sale now costing £150 with camping, £130 without. There are no day tickets, but kids under six can go in free though a ticket still must be obtained. The festival takes place 11th to 13th June, and the main form of travel to the island is ferry then onto a shuttle bus at the other side. The official site has details of all the ferry companies who operate services to the island and, tell you what, here they all are What a service.
Stop Press: Friendly Fires have just been added to the line up.
