Peace and Love would like to congratulate Jon and Tracy Morter for taking the fight for real music to Simon Cowell and the X Factor concept and winning. Respect is also due to everyone who signed up to the Facebook campaign and downloaded ‘Killing in the Name’, thus making it the first ever Xmas number one of a download only single. The single eventually outsold the X Factor winner Joe McElderry’s effort ‘The Climb’ by around 50000 copies. Fair play to Cowell, he took defeat with good grace which is more than Arsene Wenger would do. Rage against the Machine probably can’t quite take in what has happened over the past couple of weeks, they seem genuinely shocked by events, though they say they will soon play a free UK show to thank the fans for buying the single. We will keep you informed of these developments.

First time I’ve been interested in what would be the Christmas No. 1 in many a year.

Bought my copy and certainly feel it was 29p well spent.
