You don’t need a beard to get into the Bearded Theory Festival but it probably helps. An attempt will be made at this festival to break the world record for the most number of people wearing false beards in one place. Billed by the organisers as a ‘family friendly, laid back, fancy dress party with beards’ the bash takes place near Ashbourne Derbyshire from 14th to 16th May 2010, Breadley Nook Farm to be precise. Act confirmed so far include the Wonderstuff, Dreadzone, Neville Staple, the Men they Couldn’t Hang, New Model Army and Doctor and the Medics. All in all there will be acts performing on five seperate stages. Tickets will set you back a very reasonable £65 for the weekend and this includes camping, though not car parking which will be a fiver unless you have 4 in a car then its free.
