Possibly the most advertised and corporate festival around, V Festival has announced a comprehensive roster of bands for 2010 to appear at the Chelmsford and Stafford sites. Appearing at Stafford (Swap Saturday for Sunday for the Chelmsford details) are Kasabian (headline Saturday) and Kings of Leon (headline Sunday), with Stereophonics, Faithless, The Prodigy, David Guetta, Doves, Calvin Harris, The Kooks, Paul Weller, Paolo Nutini, Florence And The Machine, Pet Shop Boys, Cheryl Cole, Madness, Editors, Skunk Anansie and White Lies plus plenty of others providing a strong supporting cast. We can’t pretend there is a whole lot of other stuff to do there but there is a decent funfair. Tickets are probably sold out by now, though its worth keeping an eye on See Tickets website as batches do periodically go on sale in the days leading up to the festival. For the ‘lucky’ ones attending be aware it costs an additional £10 to park a car and about the same for a programme. Also expect long queues for beer tokens, bars, toilets etc. You have been warned.
