Although we have had major news stories about most of the UK festivals for 2010, this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals have gone a little under the radar so far, but no more shall you fear. Tonight sees the major part of the line up announced, first on NME.com at 19.15, followed by loads of other sites including ours a little later. We think headliners will be Blink 182, Guns n Roses, and maybe Arcade Fire. My Chemical Romance, Weezer, Limp Bizkit, Gorillaz, Hole, Slayer, and possibly Soundgarden could feature, though expect the latter to be announced later. A good outside tip would be a reformed Libertines. The catch to all this is that tickets will go on sale at 18.45 so you are buying blind, though given that a large proportion of the punters don’t really care who is playing as long as drinks and a campsite are available it shouldn’t be a problem. All major ticket sites will be busy but I like the look of Ticketline as it sometimes is not as busy. The festival usually sells out in half an hour or so so good luck ticket hunters.
